Release it...

I read this quote today and it spoke to me in so many ways.  God has shown me in the past few months that I needed to let go of a multitude of things.  Some things I was removed from as a result of my own foolish actions and others God simply took from my grasp because He knew it was best.  He also put somethings in place for me to have that aren't going to come easy,  they are going to require me to fight and hang in there to receive.  Is there something you need to let go of?  On the other hand is there something you need to continue fighting for?

Knowing if the "thing" is of God, takes having a relationship.  We place many "things" on God, when in reality, it wasn't of God.  God would never bless you with something only to take it away from you.  However, know that if your heart gets greedy or your ego to proud you could lose that thing as a result of your actions.  You also need to keep in mind, everything doesn't come into your life to stay.  Somethings are only for a season and once that season has ended it is time to release it.

We need to have an open relationship with God.  If we did something and we knew it was wrong, let God know and ask for mercy.  He is a gracious and merciful God, He will forgive you.  Just let God take the lead and you follow.  Stop trying to show God where to go and let Him show you.

On the other hand, when we know something is of God, we can't be afraid to fight for it.  The devil is going to try to step in and block it.  However, if you have the word of God buried deep down inside of you, then you have the whole armor of God on you.  So you are prepared to fight and be victorious.

In Jesus name we come to you today asking that you open our eyes.  We don't want to miss abything you have for us.  So Lord, when it is time for us to let go of something, make it plain so that we know.  We know Lord that if we don't release that thing at the end of its season there may not be room for the next thing you want to do in our lives.  So we declare today that we will not hold on to baggage any longer.  We will release it in the name of Jesus so that our lives can abundantly be blessed.

Have an awesome day!

Are you ready?

Today's Epiphany is going to carry a different tune from all of the others. If you are a single woman reading this then I know that it will bless you. If you are married, I hope that you can take something away as well.

Recently, I have gone to weddings and heard about so many of my acquaintances becoming engaged. I am so genuinely excited that they have each found love and happiness. My prayer is that this is who God has prepared them to be with for eternity and that their love continues to grow strong as the days and years progress. Love is such a beautiful thing. No matter how many times I am hurt, bruised, knocked down, or kick around by it, I manage to always get up dust myself off and try again. Leaving me to wonder why hasn't the one shown up. I've been diligent in not carrying baggage from one relationship to the next. So what am I doing wrong?

Well I was in the library the other day and I decided to pick up T.D. Jakes book "Before you Do?" Now I am no where near marriage right now, but if you stay ready, you don't have to get ready! So I'm planting those seeds now. I used to the single life (not being in a relationship) as an unfortunate situation until God showed me, you aren't ready yet. At the end of every past relationship, I would chalk them up to experience. My famous line is now I know what I don't want! What I still had not figured out is what I do want.

There was one quote Pastor Jakes used that got me "all the way together". It was, "stop looking for someone to complete you, look for someone to compliment you". If you are truly happy with yourself you are already complete or 100 as they say. "Marriage is not a 50/50, rather two 100's coming together to make a dynamic team". Now all of us have either said or heard someone else say that someone completes them or they are looking for someone to complete them. I don't know how you took the above quotes, but I interpret them as if I am seeking self-completion from another person, I will never master that concept. The thing that makes you attractive and keeps your relationship fresh is your individuality. You have know who you are. What you like or don't like so that you don't have to create a character to hid behind. Which most times, end up tragically. If you put your faith and trust in man, he will always let you down.

Antoher sensitive subject Pastor Jakes talks about, is remaining in control. I usually go with the flow, instead of creating the flow. I am usually chosen not the chooser. I tried to be their savior. So looking back now from the outside instead of the inside of the relationship, no wonder the didn't work out, I was toxic. I didn't know who I was, so I conformed to who I thought they needed or wanted me to be. Now don't get me wrong, I am not placing all the blame on me, but I do deserve some of it. It took me a long time to admit the part I played in the demise of my past relationships. It's so easy to find fault with someone else, but yourself? Whew, that is a true challenge. Truth is I was pretending to be their Jesus. Which was way out of line. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Stop forming inappropriate relationships with unbelievers. Can right and wrong be partners? Can light have anything in common with darkness? If the relationship causes you to negatively compromise yourself, it's not the one for you.

Not only has this book taught me about my relationship with people but, my relationship with God. See when you are in an intimate relationship with someone, you trust them. You have let down your guard and you can just be yourself. Though I have a relationship with God, I hadn't taken the relationship area of my life to Jesus. I have been leaving it truly to happenstance. It was not until I got to a point where I was about to throw up my hands and say Lord, I just give up. I give all that I have and still end up with the short end of the stick, left alone holding the bag. Lord, what am I doing wrong? That's when God said, this is the first time you have consulted me about it. How about we try it my way this time. Matthew 6:31-33 Don’t ever worry and say, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’Everyone is concerned about these things, and your heavenly Father certainly knows you need all of them. But first, be concerned about his kingdom and what has his approval. Then all these things will be provided for you. God told me, Stop putting anyone before me. Don't allow a man to seperate you from my will. If I gave you a word, dream, or vision, I need you to move or act on it. Don't allow anyone or anything to cloud your vision or distort your ability to hear my voice. We sing the gospel hymn, I Surrender All. But do we really?

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you today, surrendering all. All to you Lord, EVERYTHING!!!! We don't want any areas of our lives to be operating outside of your will for our lives. Father, we are seeking you like never before. We are missing something in our lives and we now know that it isn't the companionship of another person, its the companionship of you Lord. So draw closer to us Lord, our desire is to praise and worship you. We want to get to know you as you show us who we are in you. In Jesus name, Amen.

Matthew 6:34 So don’t ever worry about tomorrow. After all, tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. God is saying stop worrying about when you mate or companion is coming. Just stay close to God and submerged in his word so that you don't miss them when God sends them. Remember if you stay ready, you don't have to get ready.

Happy Friday All! Have a blessed weekend.

That's not it...

One thing you may noticed about my blog is that I often repeat or remind you of past epiphanies.  Well today will be no different :-)!  In a previous post, I told you all that just because the door is open, you don't have to walk through it.  Well God sent me that test and I almost walked into a "blessing" for somebody else.

Sometimes God allows things that look like "blessings" to be presented to you to see if you have been paying attention and if indeed you are ready.  If you will know when the devil is trying to deceive or trick you  Well this happened to me two weeks ago.  I described it in my blog that it was single-handily, one of the greatest things that I had ever been blessed with.  Well I did a little research and guess what?  It is indeed an awesome blessing!!!!! Just not for me.  I mean with everything going on in this season of my life, it fit in perfectly, so I thought.  Now I know, God was saying this my child is a test.

See God wants me to understand that everything that looks good, may indeed be good for someone, just not necessarily for me.  Having a personal relationship with God and asking Him to show you who you really are, provides you with the discernment of knowing if something is really for you.  That's why sometimes when we get things, we shout hallelujah to the top of our lungs and thank God for this blessing.  When it really didn't come from God, it was forced by you.  If it isn't of God, He can't bless it.  If the thing you think is a blessing causes you to have to compromise yourself negatively in anyway, then it can't be of God.  If you are in God, you know who you are and there is no reason for you to be anyone else but you, a child of God.  So let go of it and consider it a lesson learned.

I heard something in bible study last night that truly blessed me.  Everything good isn't good for YOU!  This is why Proverbs 3:5-6 is so important.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.  God will never lead you astray.

So I don't know who this word is for, but God is saying to you if you have to struggle that hard to keep it (man, woman, house, car, etc.) then it isn't of me.  Let it go.  Trust me.  Step out on faith and let me show you a real blessing from me.

Dear Lord,
We thank you for your awesome grace and mercy.  We thank you for your power to turn situations and circumstances around.  We pray today that your will be done in our lives.  Less of us Lord and more of you.  We have had enough of suffering the consequences of our own decisions and what we thought best for us.  We are ready Lord and we turn our lives over to you.  We declare and decree victory in our lives.  In Jesus name, Amen.

As I've said before and I don't mind saying again, God prepares you for every test before you take it or go through it.  You just have to make sure you are paying attention.  For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11.  God said I know what I'm doing so just let me do it.  Don't miss the voice of God today.

I hope today has been blessed.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!!!

Good Morning Family!

First allow me to apologize for not posting yesterday.  So today I promise to make up for it :-)!  Here we go hope you are blessed by it.

Many of you that are my facebook friends have noticed the "Under Construction" photo that is currently my profile pic.  Well this morning while listening to the radio, God gave me a word about this phase of my life.  A pastor on the Ricky Smiley Morning show, was giving his daily spiritual vitamin.  He said when something is under construction, in the beginning, the ground has to be broken or dug up in the area where the structure will stand as well as the are that is around it.  As the structure begins to take form, it is without beauty, unrecognizable, and of course incomplete.  Construction sites often have gates up around them (this is where I had a praise break y'all).  The gates say KEEP OUT.  Meaning, If you aren't contributing to the building of this structure, stay away!  As children of God we are the same way.  When God is working on us, He sometimes has to break up things around us, relationship, and distractions to get us prepared to take the form He created us to be.  We in turn should put up "gates and barriers" to keep out any and every thing that is not contributing to making us what God wants us to be.

Now if you have been following me I told you God spoke a word to me to walk away from everything.  Well here is even more confirmation.  He wants me to walk out of my comfort zone and into my purpose.  Philippians 1:6 says being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.  So embrace what God is doing in your life.  Think about it this way.  Some of us are in our groundbreaking stage so it may seem EXTREMELY rough.  Other's are in our construction phase, we can see something beginning to happen.  A few of us are a little further along in construction and it looks like we can see a glimmer of day light.  There is also a phase where the structure is complete and then its time for the details.  This is where Phil 1:6 comes in.  God will always be at work in your life until the day He returns.  First He needs to build the structure to withstand the elements.  Once He's built a sturdy structure, He can begin working on the details.  So once God has prepared you to withstand the traps and snares of the devil, He can begin to make that thing beautiful.  Oh how I love Jesus!

If your groundbreaking seems like it is taking forever, allow me to encourage you.  The bigger and more beautiful the building will be, the longer it takes.  So if I were you, I would be jumping for joy because God is about to show out on your behalf.  Don't lose hope and don't resist God's voice.  John 10:18 states No one takes my life from me. I give my life of my own free will. I have the authority to give my life, and I have the authority to take my life back again. This is what my Father ordered me to do.” When He tells you to move, MOVE!!!!  Don't make Him move you.  Trust me I am a living witness to it, and further more it delays construction.

So what has God place on your heart to do?  Habakkuk 2:2-3 states Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. So when God speaks to you write it down.  It may not make sense to you now, but God plans ahead, so it will sooner or later.  Further more, I read this in a devotional, the devil can't come in and steal it off paper.

In Jesus name,

Father we come to you today, giving our lives back to you father.  Whatever you would have us do, whatever you would have us be, do your will Lord.  We ask that you take our hearts, minds, soul, and body's and do what you will with them Lord.  We want to be vessels for you Lord.  Thank you Lord that you have placed a dream and a vision in our hearts.  Lord grant us the strength, wisdom, and resources to make our dreams and visions come to reality.  We praise and thank you Lord for all of you many blessings.  You said in your word Lord if we don't open our mouths to praise you then the rocks will cry out.  So today Lord we shout your praises and we glorify your name because we believe your word is true.  So we will put our visions on paper to remind of the words you have spoken to us.  In Jesus name we pray,
Amen

In conclusion, let me leave you with this.  When we are in the early stages of construction, God will grant little windfalls of blessings as test.  Test don't always come in the form of trouble.  Trust me I know.  So remember this verse, Luke 19:17-27  'Good servant! Great work! Because you've been trustworthy in this small job, I'm making you governor of ten towns...Risk your life and get more than you ever dreamed of. Play it safe and end up holding the bag. So why not give God your life and "get more than you ever dreamed of."

Give your enemies LIFE!

Over the weekend, during my prayer and meditation time I came across this verse.  John 14:18-24 “If the world hates you, realize that it hated me before it hated you. If you had anything in common with the world, the world would love you as one of its own. But you don’t have anything in common with the world. I chose you from the world, and that’s why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant isn’t greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they did what I said, they will also do what you say. Indeed, they will do all this to you because you are committed to me, since they don’t know the one who sent me. If I hadn’t come and spoken to them, they wouldn’t have any sin. But now they have no excuse for their sin.  The person who hates me also hates my Father.  If I hadn’t done among them what no one else has done, they wouldn’t have any sin. But now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. In this way what is written in their Scriptures has come true: ‘They hate me for no reason.’

I don't know about you, but these verses of scripture, opened my eyes to something.  Have you ever had someone seem to dislike or despise you for what seemed to be no reason.  You've even probably said to yourself, they are the devil.  After reading this verse it all makes sense to me now.  People seem to hate or dislike what they don't understand.  It's just a common reaction for the flesh.  That's why it is so important for you to share the word of God with people.  It is your christian duty to spread the Good News.  Share John 3:16 God loved the world this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.  Let people know that in God there is life and an abundance of it.

Most of us our first reaction to people who seem to show hatred toward us is to become selfish and cold-hearted.  Have you ever heard the saying, kill them with kindness?  It's so true!  The way to trample on the evil spirits in that person, is to remain the God-ordained person you are.  As a matter of fact, be even more kind, patient, and giving to this person.  Eventually, they will break.  You see it's very simple,  they see something in you that they want for themselves but, they aren't sure what it is or how to get it.  It's your job to help them both understand and get IT.

Jesus knew that this would happen.  Before He left to be with the father, He prayed to God.  In John 20:14-16 I have given them your message. But the world has hated them because they don’t belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. I’m not asking you to take them out of the world but to protect them from the evil one. They don’t belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. So you know what that means?  If he already knew, you are already prepared.  So don't do as the world says "shake the haters off".  Welcome the "haters", make them follow you to Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you today for showing us that we are no better than you.  If the world hated you, then because you are in us they will hate us to.  We thank you father for sending us a comforter and a guide.  Thank you Lord for the Holy Spirit who also dwells in us.  Father, help us to be patient with those that don't understand the joy we have.  Help us father to show them what makes us different.  When it seems overwhelming and to much for us to bear, God help us to fall to our knees and pray for the people that aim to harm us.  Your word says no weapon formed against us shall prosper so we are not afraid.  Father we just want you to soften their hearts so that we can witness to them.  Help us Lord to remain in you and not revert back to the world's way when it gets rough.  We know that vengeance belongs to you.  So we will do our part and leave the rest up to you.

In Jesus name, Amen

Allow me to leave you with this scripture. Psalms 91:7 A thousand may fall dead beside you, ten thousand all around you, but you will not be harmed.  So don't allow those who seek to harm you to rattle your spirit.  You are strong and mighty in the lord.

Have an awesome day and a SPECTACULAR WEEK!!!

Be at Peace!!!! It's only temporary.

Happy Friday All!!!!! I pray that each of you had an awesome week.  I know it started a little rocky  for me, but as always God smoothed it out and I claim this was only the beginning.  I even saw a rainbow to seal the deal, so I know it will be alright.  It reassured me to have peace about my storm.

This morning in my prayer and meditation time, I came across this verse, John 14:27 “I’m leaving you peace. I’m giving you my peace. I don’t give you the kind of peace that the world gives. So don’t be troubled or cowardly.  Does this speak to anyone's heart today?  It sure spoke to mine.  I took this verse personally.  I see this verse saying look Naila, I know how it looks.  However I have taught you to walk by faith and not by sight.  So just chill!  You know you are a child of mine.  So when I work it out, it's done, nothing like the world's solutions which are temporary.  So stop running around talking about it, speaking doubt that is an insult to my power.

Is there something in your life today that God has spoken to you and said "I've got this"?  Well let Him have it.  In an earlier verse in John 14, vs 13-14 I will do anything you ask the Father in my name so that the Father will be given glory because of the Son. If you ask me to do something, I will do it. If He hasn't given you a word about the situtation, have you even presented it to Him?  The verse says He will do anything we ask that will glorify God.  He also said in James 4:2 You don’t have the things you want, because you don’t pray for them.  We have got to learn to open our mouths and ask and yet be willing to receive the answer God gives.  Whatever it is.  Remember His ways are not our ways not or his thoughts our thoughts.  So it may not turn out the way you expected, but trust that God has worked it out in your best interest.  You may not understand it now, but ask God to reveal His plan to you.

So whatever the situation today, allow me to encourage you.  Take that situation and give it to God! Trust him  God will grant you peace that surpasses all understanding.  I'm telling you something I know.  God can do it.  When He is in control, you have NOTHING to worry about.  Proverbs 16:7 When a person’s ways are pleasing to the Lord,he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
So if you do your part, God's word said He's got the rest.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you today with a grateful heart.  Thank you father for leaving us the Holy Spirit, that gives us peace that passes all understanding.  We thank you Lord that the Holy Spirit reminds us that you are with us.  Lord we bind and cast down the spirit of fear and doubt and stand on your word today.  We boldly declare no weapon formed against us shall prosper.  So we speak peace to our homes, finances, jobs, and relationships.  We bow before you and thank you Lord that whatever we ask you will give. We ask that you take complete control of our lives today.  Breakthrough is what we declare, in Jesus name,
Amen.

Allow me to leave you with this verse, Joshua 1:5 No one will be able to oppose you successfully as long as you live. I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will never neglect you or abandon you.  So relax, this is only temporary.  Have an awesome weekend family!

How big is your faith?

Good Morning Family!  Yesterday was singlehandedly, one of the best days to come of my life.  Something so awesome happened to me that I hope to be able to share with you one day.  I can however say this, it was definitely a faith grower.  So let me encourage you, trust Him.  Whatever you are believing God for, no matter how big or small, God can do it!!!!!  I'm telling you not what I've heard but what I know.  Oh I wish I could share, but it's not time yet!  It is only a sign of things to come.  God's favor is real.

We have all heard the verse in the song, Be Encouraged that states, "trials are just a test of your faith".  Well in the last week God has revealed to me they are not just to test your faith but to grow it.  In the same way that you learn a subject in school and are tested on your knowledge of it, the results of the test are a evidence of your growth in the subject matter.  So if the trial you are going through now is concerning your money, get ready for a sure enough (as my high school English teacher would say) miracle.  God needs to teach you how to handle a little bit of money so when he blesses you to become a millionaire, you will know how to use it to glorify Him.  If you were living in what you thought to be your dream home, and for some reason or another God is allowing it to be removed from your life.  Get ready!  God is about to make you the owner of many homes.

God has been revealing through scripture to me, that every miracle He preformed throughout the Bible was a result of the magnitude of faith the person or the people connected to them, had in Him.  When He restored sight to the blind man in John 9, Jesus took his spit and mixed it with the dirt, smeared it across the man's eyes and told the man to wash it off in the pool of  Siloam.  The man had enough faith to follow His instruction, so His sight was restored.  In John 11, before Lazarus was raised from the dead, He went to see Martha and Mary and in vs. 26-27 the one who brings people back to life, and I am life itself. Those who believe in me will live even if they die.  Everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe that?” Martha said to him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who was expected to come into the world.”  As a result of their faith, their brother was raised from the dead.

If the blind man could trust God to restore His sight, with spit, dirt, and washing it off with water, why can't you be still and know God will work it out.  If Mary and Martha could trust God to raise their brother Lazarus from the dead after being dead 4 DAYS!!!!!!  Why can't you trust God for healing in your body?  Let me share this verse with you, if you are believing God for healing in your body, I dare you to stand on this verse.  John 11:4 His(my) sickness won’t result in death. Instead, this sickness will bring glory to God so that the Son of God will receive glory through it.  I dare you to watch God use you to show His power.  I know that God is a healer.  I trust Him and believe that He will deliver you.  What the devil meant to harm you, God is going to turn it around for your good.

Two days after Jesus was given the news that Lazarus was sick and He needed to come right away, He decided it was time to go and see Lazarus.  He told the disciples, Lazarus is sleeping and I need to go wake him.  The disciples didn't understand, He explained to them that Lazarus had died.  At that moment God said something that put it all in perspective for me.  In vs. 15 I’m glad that I wasn’t there so that you can grow in faith. God i saying if I always jumped when you said jump, you would never believe for anything bigger or better.  I need to allow a little more suffering so you will understand.  I need to allow a little more discomfort so you will believe that I will deliver you at any point no matter how far gone it seems, I can deliver.

Father God,  we come to you today asking you to increase our faith.  We know you are a God of abundance and your word says in 2 Cor 9:8 that when you bless us you are going to bless us with more than enough so we can bless someone else.  Father we declare and decree that we are the lenders not the borrowers in Jesus name.  Thank you Lord that we are above and not beneath, the head and not the tail.  In Jesus name.  We bless your name today Father for those of us believing for healing in our bodies today Lord if it is for us or we are standing in the gap for someone today.  We ask God that you honor your word and use our situtaions to glorify you God.  As your word says, in John 9, use us to show what you can do!  In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Allow me to leave you with this scripture, Isaiah 55:8-9 "My thoughts are not your thoughts,
and my ways are not your ways,” declares the Lord. “Just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts.”
You may think that you have the solution all figured out.  It seems so obvious to you.  I challenge you today to lay that situation before God, and leave it there.  I know it's hard, but I'm telling you what I know.  God will handle it.  When you leave it up to God it's going to be worked out beyond your wildest dream.  Dream BIG today family and remember the above scripture.  God thinks even bigger than your BIGGEST dream.  So as you walk into your purpose expect greatness because the God we serve is a GREAT GOD!!!!

Who's opinion matters most?

Happy Hump Day Family!  It is so awesome to wake to the rising of a new sun, signaling a brand new day is here.  A new day brings the signs of God's new grace and mercy, allowing us another opportunity to get it right, another opportunity to fulfill our God ordained purpose.

So this morning, I came across this verse John 12:43 They were more concerned about what people thought of them than about what God thought of them. This verse in itself is a sermon.  We say we are children of God and declare we want to do God's will but, who influences our decisions?  How many times have you said to yourself, let me just do it this way so I don't have to hear so and so's mouth?  Ok, I'm the only one, I'll accept that.  When was the last time you said No, I'm going to do it this way because this is how God said handle it no matter what anyone else thinks?

If you are a faithful follower of my blog, you know that everything has a purpose and plan in God's eyesight.  The good, the bad, and yes even the ugly are a part of God's plan to bring you to your purpose.  Throughout His word, God tells us if we follow Him, if we trust Him, He will rain down the windows of Heaven's blessings in our lives.  Isaiah 54:4 Don’t be afraid, because you won’t be put to shame. Don’t be discouraged, because you won’t be disgraced.  God said be bold for me!  Stand up and declare I am your Lord and savior.  Stop worrying about what other people think.  What have other people ever done for you?

We should fear the wrath of God more than the wrath of people because eternal life is with Him.  He told us in Isaiah 54:17 that any tongue that speaks judgement against us would be condemned.  So in other words just do what God said and let Him handle the rest.  So will you boldly stand for God?  Will you do the unpopular thing to please God?  Will you standout out from the crowd and proudly serve God?

Dear Father,

Thank you Lord for this awesome revelation.  Lord, we repent for our selfish decision making.  We repent Lord for seeking to please man before you.  Lord we ask that you renew our minds and cleanse our hearts.  We want to be living examples for you.  We know that if we follow you on the pathway of righteousness we can't go wrong.  We know that we may stumble but we will not fall.  Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Allow me to leave you with these verses today.  Jeremiah 8:4,7 says When someone falls, he gets back up.  When someone turns away from me, he returns.  My people don’t know that I, the Lord, am urging them to return.  You may think that you have strayed to far from the will of God, but I'm hear to tell you that isn't true.  It's never to late to come back.  As the word shows He is waiting on you.  He knows his children will sometimes wonder off into the wilderness but He wants you to come back home.  Lord I am home.

Let Him use you!

Good Morning All!  What a beautiful day it is.  Over the weekend, I had conversations with many of my friends, which is not out of the norm.  However, what was abnormal was that all of them seemed to be weighed down by a specific situation/test that they are facing.  Issues ranged from health to job and even family members and not just simple things, intense life changing issues.  Some of them seemed helpless like there was no resolution.  I want to share a word with you a word that I have been hearing over and over for the past 3 days.  God's is growing your faith and preparing you for your purpose!!!

I know I made a relevant post on Saturday but, I received more confirmation this morning during prayer and meditation that God wants to take some us higher.  This morning while reading another very familiar story of the miraculous power of God in John 9,  I saw a verse that I had never seen before.  We have all heard about the blind man that God gave sight, right?  As I'm reading, I think, I already know about this.  But I decided to read it anyway.  In verse 2, the disciples ask Jesus, why was the man born blind?  He said it was so that God could show what He can do for him.  Somebody say, Let Him use you!  God wants to use you and your circumstance to show His power.  We have all heard the song lyrics that say these trials are just a test of your faith.  Well, if you didn't believe it before, believe it now.  What you are going through will either increase your faith or totally wipe it out.  Are you willing to be a vessel and let God use you?

I don't know exactly what you are going through but what I do know is that God didn't bring you this far to leave you here.  Remember in class when your teacher would ask for a volunteer?  Well think of yourself as a chosen volunter.  God thought enough of you and your faith to use you to show someone else how great He is.  In the end, you already know God is going to exceedingly bless you!  So trust that He will see you through this.  One thing about God is when He brings you out, its better than you went in.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for showing us that you are seeking to grow our faith in you.  You don't want us to limit you with little faith.  Lord that we will continue to look to you as we walk through these storms of life.  Thank you in advance Lord that you are going to bring us out better than we went in.  In Jesus name, Amen!

I want to leave you with this statement today.  If you still aren't convinced that God is in control no matter how out of control it looks to you.  Allow me share this with you.  Remember the story of Lazarus?  His sisters sought after Jesus to come and save their brother and not let him die.  Jesus said, ok I'm coming.  Well guess what?  If you know the story, He died and was buried in a tomb.  To some of us, that situation looked like God forgot about them and it was over.  But, rememeber God said, I'm coming.  And just like He said He would a few days after Lazarus was buried, He showed up and as the old folks say, SHOWED OUT!!!!! God raised Lazarus from the dead.  If God had come when Lazarus' sisters called, that wouldn't cause them to have stretch their faith.  God wanted to grow their faith!  If God has spoken to you friends and told you I got this.  No matter how bad it seems to you.  Don't give up, don't give in.  He can do anything but fail.  Have an awesome week.

Step out on Faith...

I don't normally post on the weekend but today, God really spoke to me through scripture.  As some of you may know, I am truly believing God for a total transformation and elevation in my life.  I believe it is the will of God for my life that I own and operate my own businesses.  Notice I said businesses meaning not just one.  I serve a big God so I don't try to minimize him.  Anyway, I was reading Habakkuk 2 and came across verse 3, Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed.  Now just marinate on that a minute.

Has God given you a vision friends?  If He has, it is time to rise up and take possession of it.  God said in vs. 2, write it down.  I have been dreaming of this moment for the last four years.  It has taken a huge PUSH of God to get me here, but I am here.  I have talked about it, written it down, gone through the motions and stood be at the door and it wouldn't open.  Why?  I now know because of vs. 2 it wasn't time.  I am here to tell you friends the doors are opening.    It's time for me to step into my purpose.  God has given me so many visions and dreams about this time in my life that its deja vu.  I am making this blog entry today to encourage you friends.

Yesterday, I read a daily devotional that sent me literally RUNNING around the room.  It said this, God is getting ready to “allow” extreme pressure to come into your life in order to thrust or shove you into the place that He has created you to exist in....the place of purpose. For some of you, the pushing has already started. I know it’s uncomfortable and it may even hurt but just know that the thrust is designed to get you to the place that God has destined for you to be.  In other words, He’s not doing the pushing Himself; He’s allowing the enemy and/or the pressures of the life to do it for Him. The good news is what the enemy means for evil, He is going to work it together for your good.  God is allowing this storm to push you into your purpose so don’t fight it. You all could never know what these words meant to me.  I almost stomped a hole in my floor. LOL seriously do you see yourself in those words.  Let me give scripture reference to those of you who are still nervous about stepping out on faith into the purpose God has for your life.  Genesis 50:20-21  You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” *dropping the mic and walking away*!  I know some of you are speechless.  Ummm hmmm, I'll wait...you ready to move on yet?

Ok, now that you are back from your praise break, God is working friends.  Don't miss him because of your lack of faith.  He wants to do something awesome for you.  No one said it would be an easy task.  However, God warns us in Ephesians 6:11-13 Put on all the armor that God gives you, so that you will be able to stand up against the Devil's evil tricks. For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age. So put on God's armor now! Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemy's attacks; and after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground.  Submerge yourselves in the word.  The armor of God is His word, having a relationship so that you know what He says about you His child.  So that when the devil tells you that you can't, you can come back boldly and say MY FATHER, say I CAN!!!!  In yesterday's blog I told you all that I have commited to a 30 day social network fast.  I am reading the bible, blogging, reading inspirational materials, praying, just trying to hear everything God is trying to say to me.  So keep pushing and show God you really want to be a vessel for His work.

Dear Lord,

We come to you today, empty and ready to be filled with your goodness.  We ask you today to use us to glorify you and show the world you are the pathway to righteousness.  We thank you for placing a dream in our hearts, a vision in our minds God.  We ask you Lord to help us with being patient while you perfect that thing that you would have come to pass in our lives.  We claim that because we are your children we are destined for greatness.  Thank you Lord for pushing us and thinking enough of us, to give birth your purpose.  In Jesus name, Amen.

I repeat this verse to myself daily, and I encourage you all to do the same.  Psalms 27:13-14 I believe that I will see the goodness of the Lord in this world of the living.  Wait with hope for the Lord.
Be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Yes, wait with hope for the Lord.

My Season of Transformation...

Good Morning All!!!!!

If you can't tell I am so excited.  God is about to show out over here.  I can't get my seat belt buckled fast enough! :-).  Last night, I made the decision that I needed to go on a 30 day fast.  Not just from food, because that's part of this plan too, but from distractions.  So, I logged out of facebook, twitter, and foursquare and posted a status update, stating that I am taking a break because God is trying to speak to me and I need to give Him my undivided attention.  So as my final post on FB for the next 30 days, I posted this scripture Psalms 143: 7-8 Come quickly, Lord, and answer me for my depression deepens.  Don’t turn away from me, or I will die.  Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you.  Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.  So this morning my phone rings, and it is a call that is the beginning of a life changing season on the horizion.  Recall in the previous verse, "let me hear of your unfailing love each morning"?  Yes, my God is about to show out.  You just wait and see.  I declare and decree that each morning God will continue to show Himself to me.

So just like David, in Psalms 143, I'm in a place in my life where I need direction.  I have allowed the trials and tribulations of life overtake to me and my spirit is getting weak.  I know some of you may want to pretend like you have never felt like you were drowning in the sea of life. But right now,  I'm so deep all you can see is my forehead.  So last night I came to a crossroads, either I could allow myself to drown, or I could stretch out my hand and call for help.  I chose the latter, and God has already began to move on my behalf this morning.  I dare you trust God with your life.  It will be the best decision you ever make.

I'm not sure about you all, but when things are going wrong the first thing the devil tries to do is hit me with his words of "wisdom". If you call yourself a child of God why would you make a decision like that?  How did you end up here?  Why do you keep going to church?  It isn't helping.  You are still down in dirt, you are still nothing.  You see that is what he wants you to believe.  He wants us to stop going to church and stop reading our Bibles and give up on God.  Tell me this, when has the devil ever blessed you?  When has the devil ever provided for you?  When has the devil ever made a way out of no way?  I'll wait.  No matter how hard your life has been, guess what?  You are still here  Meaning God has granted you grace and mercy and there is still time to come to Him.  I don't know about you today, but I need Him now!  So whatever I have to do to get closer to Him, I'm going to do it.  No matter what I have to give up, who I have to walk away from, I'm following Him!

I read a passage of scripture today in Psalms 119 (when you get a chance read the whole chapter) but vs. 41-45 Lord, give me your unfailing love, the salvation that you promised me.  Then I can answer those who taunt me, for I trust in your word.  Do not snatch your word of truth from me, for your regulations are my only hope.  I will keep on obeying your instructions forever and ever.  I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.  Can you relate to David's cry to God?  I sure can.  When I came to my crossroads last night I chose to follow the path of salvation.  Which road witll you choose?

Dear Lord,

Thank you for this awesome word today.  Father we thank you for being our Bread of Life.  Thank you Lord that even though right now we may be weak, you are strong.  We want to follow you Lord!  We pray right now you fill us with the Holy Spirit so that when the enemy tries to rise up against us, we will have the whole armor of God, therefore we can be strong in battle.  We know that no weapon formed against us shall prosper.  We give ourselves to you completely today Lord.  We want to live holy and righteous.  We want our lives to be living examples of you.  Father, give us strength that when the devil tries to throw our past in our faces that we remember you have already paid the price and we have already been forgiven.  Give us the strength Father to press forward in your kingdom.  In Jesus name we praise and thank you Lord,

Amen

Why do you follow God? Is it the bread of Heaven or the bread of Earth?

Now I know this is a weird title but, give me a minute and it will all make sense.  In my prayer and meditation time I read John 6.  Some of you may be familiar with this passage of scripture.  It is where God feeds the 5,000 with two fish and five loaves of bread.  I have heard the story of this miraculous work of God a million times.  But, never actually understood its purpose until this morning. I saw this scripture in a whole new light.

John 6:26 Jesus answered, I am telling you the truth: you are looking for me because you ate the bread and had all you wanted, not because you understood my miracles. Do not work for food that spoils; instead, work for the food that lasts for eternal life. This is the food which the Son of Man will give you, because God, the Father, has put his mark of approval on him.  Jesus said listen people, you are chasing after me for the wrong reason! You just watched me take two fish and five loaves of bread and feed five thousand people.  It was an all you can eat buffet, with leftovers, to me that was nothing.  That is not why God sent me.  You missed the whole point!  This only symbolizes what God has for you in His kingdom.  If you follow me,  I am the bread of life.  You will never go hungry again.  Love me for who I am not what I can do for you.  It's not the food I fed you with physically that you should follow, but the spiritual bread (the words I speak) that you should follow.  If you follow me because of what you saw, your belief will quickly fade.  I am not a magician, I don't preform tricks.  I perform miracles, there is a difference.

God doesn't what to be a quickly fading trend in our lives.  He wants to be the head, the center, a permanent fixture.  So it caused me to ask myself this question, Why am I following God?  Is it because of the THINGS He's blessed me with? Or, is it because Jesus died so that I can have eternal life?  These verses put a lot of things in perspective for me.  It is easy to get caught up in the blessings of God (material things).  This is where you run the risk of losing it all.  Don't get me wrong, praise God from whom all blessings flow!  However, don't get so caught up in those "things" that you lose sight of who the main focus is.  If the "things" He is blessing you with become a distraction in your walk with Him, guess what?  He will allow all those "things" to be taken away and you will have no other choice but, to look to the hills.  The miracles are a result of you trusting and having faith in God not a reason to do so.  Believing Matthew 19:26 “With human beings this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” .

In John 19:35, God says  I am the bread of life, Jesus told them. Those who come to me will never be hungry; those who believe in me will never be thirsty. Now, I told you that you have seen me but will not believe. Everyone whom my Father gives me will come to me. I will never turn away anyone who comes to me, because I have come down from heaven to do not my own will but the will of him who sent me. And it is the will of him who sent me that I should not lose any of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them all to life on the last day. For what my Father wants is that all who see the Son and believe in him should have eternal life. And I will raise them to life on the last day. God is saying take the time to understand why I came.  Study my word, the Book of Life.  I am the bread of life.  If you eat and drink of me (follow me and study my word) you will have eternal life.

Eternal life should be our goal.  Not the material things on Earth. Again I say, these things happen as a result of being a good and faithful servant, not a reason to be a good and faithful servant.  Eternal life is what we should seek in God.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you this morning thanking you for that spiritual check.  We repent for being blinded by the blessing, being side tracked by the miracle and missing the message.  Father, we understand that these things are results of a relationship with you not a reason to have the relationship.  So God renew our minds today Lord so we are constantly focused on you Lord and not the things going on around us.  Thank you Lord for blessing us and preforming miracles in our lives.  Thank you for reminding us that it has nothing to do with us, but because we are your children we are showered with your blessings and witnesses of your miracles.  In Jesus name,  Amen.

The miracles and blessings are there as reminders, just like test and trials are scars.  When you are going through a storm, you should be able to look back over your life and previous circumstances and say, I know if He did it then, and He can and He will do it again.  He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Serve God and bless His people with what you have been blessed with.  In Psalms 37:4 Delight yourself also in the LORD,And He shall give you the desires of your heart.  Establish a relationship with Him and because you do so, you are an heir to His throne.  You are going to be blessed.

Letting Go...

I received this word the other day,  the great advantage of having nothing is that everything becomes a gain. Losing everything is at the same time the scariest, as well as the most liberating experience you can have. When you have something, - anything, you've got to protect it from disappearing. And so worry becomes a resident in your heart. When you've got nothing, your heart overflows with gratitude for every offering you receive

Today's blog won't be for everyone but, I know it will reach someone.  I have been going through some major growing pains in my walk with Jesus.  It's very easy to hear His word, relay it, and sometimes when it comes to putting it to work, well it could cause you to go into a very uncomfortable space.  I keep hearing the Lord so clearly saying let go!  Let go of everything!  Everyday, I let go of a little here, and a little there but I haven't let go of everything.  I have even compromised somethings and some important relationships to keep some of those things.  Let go of somethings and picked them right back up.  But, the other night, God dealt with me so strongly.  I mean I was physically sick.  He said if you don't let go, I'm going to wipe it out.  The next day, I got a phone call the person said, How do you think you can keep this up before you reap the consequences?  That was it!

So today is the day.  I will stand for God and walk away from it all.  Everything!  God has never failed me.  In Micah 4:7-10, I will make a new beginning with those who are left and they will become a great nation...for mow you will have to leave the city and live in the open country, but there the Lord will save you from your enemies.  I see myself in these verses so clearly.  So I know that God is telling me to GO! So I'm moving today.  I stand today on 2 Cor 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.  So although I can't see where God is taking me I trust that HE will protect me.

I know God is calling me to a higher standard, but my flesh causes me to doubt that I am the right one.  I am not perfect, never claimed to be.  We all have sinned and fallen short of His glory, but God gave me a passage in the word.  Isaiah 54:4-8  Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. Don’t be afraid; there is no more disgrace for you.  You will no longer remember the shame of your youth He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth.  For the Lord has called you back from your grief—as though you were a young wife abandoned by her husband,” says your God. “For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with great compassion I will take you back.  In a burst of anger I turned my face away for a little while.  But with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord, your Redeemer.  God said to me if I told you to do it, I have already worked it out.

So if God is speaking to you today and telling you to LET GO! LET GO and LET GOD have his way!
Write it down on a calendar that today was the day you walk away for it and walk with God through it!  I have seen and heard some of what God has in store for me all I have to do is trust Him.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you today asking for forgiveness.  Lord, we ask youto forgive us of our sins.  We give our past, hurt, failures, and disappointments to you.  God we thank you for revealing to us today that if you bring us to a point in life that you mean for us to go through it for a reason.  We thank you Lord for already having it worked out.  We will Let Go, because we believe your word in Psalms 27:13, We will see the Lord’s goodness while we are here in the land of the living  We seek refuge and protection in you father from the storm and through the test.  We claim and declare VICTORY in Jesus name,
Amen!

Because we know better, He expects us to do better!

I'm so glad to be back to this blog.  There was a void in my life without it.  I went on vacation and had no access to the Internet.  I tried to do the blog on my phone, but it didn't workout so well.  Anyway, I hope that you all have been walking in the favor and blessings of God.  If you haven't begin to experience breakthrough quite yet, just hold on.  Remember test and trials are only temporary.

In my prayer and meditation this morning,  the first verse I read was Isaiah 65:1-3 I was ready to respond, but no one asked for help.  I was ready to be found, but no one was looking for me.  I said, ‘Here I am, here I am! All day long I opened my arms to (my own people) a rebellious people. But they follow their own evil paths and their own crooked schemes.  All day long they insult me to my face by worshipping idols in their sacred gardens.  My spirit was crushed.  It's as if I could visualize God being a light at the end of the tunnel, cheering us on.  Saying, come on you can do it! Just a little further now, hold on!  I know it seems dark, I'm over here.  Stay focused.  Don't lose hope, don't give up now!  I'm right here.  Instead of us keeping our eyes stayed on Him, at the very moment we felt like we couldn't go any further, the devil showed up an inch in front of you saying, psst, over here.  I know a short cut, follow me.  Now as children of God, we know the devil when he shows his ugly face.  His offers are always so tempting however, we tend to forget in that moment, that they are always short lived.  In Isaiah 65, God is saying to us, I'm right here, but you keep falling into the traps of the devil.  The short lived thrills, you disrespect me to my face.  All that I have done for you.  I have never failed you!

Isaiah 65 has a brighter side, further in.  Vs. 17 Look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth,
and no one will even think about the old ones anymore.  No longer will babies die when only a few days old.  No longer will adults die before they have lived a full life.  No longer will people be considered old at one hundred!  Only the cursed will die that young!  In those days people will live in the houses they build and eat the fruit of their own vineyards.  Unlike the past, invaders will not take their houses  and confiscate their vineyards.  For my people will live as long as trees,  and my chosen ones will have time to enjoy their hard-won gains.
God said if you just follow me, when I come back look at all the wonderful things you will experience in the new heaven and the new earth.  We all know John 3:16, if not here it is:  For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. Don't you want the things God is describing in Isaiah 65?  I know I do.

So we must remember, God is right there.  Even if it doesn't feel like it right now, He is.  Remember when you felt like this the last time?  Last time meaning, in the past.  Meaning, you came through it.  He can and will do it again.  But you have to hold on and be strong.  In Psalms 62:8 My victory and honor come from God alone.  He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.  O my people, trust in him at all times.  Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.  When we are facing a storm or in the middle of a storm,  God wants us to run to Him, seek shelter in Him.  Don't fall for the traps and snares of the devil.  We know his "glory" is only for a moment.  God's glory is forever.  We have to cover ourselves with the word and the promises of God we find there.

I leave you with this, John 3:18-21 There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20 All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. 21 But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”  We have all had times in our lives, when we have done something we hope never sees the light of day.  God knows about those things, and He still loves us.  So we must confess our sins to God and he will forgive us and cast those sins into the sea of forgetfulness.  Trust Him to see you through whatever you are facing today family.  I know that these verses were for me and I hope they spoke to your heart as well.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you today, some of us with heavy hearts.  We could hear you coaching us through this test and at our weakest moment we chose to follow the devil because we didn't think we could go any further.  Lord, we ask you to forgive us for those transgressions.  Father, we realize today, as you said in your word that you are here.  YOU ARE RIGHT HERE! We know you love us and we seek shelter in you today.  We declare and we trust your word saying that you are our refuge and place of safety.  Continue to dwell in our hearts and our minds today Lord.  Please don't forsake us because we strayed.  We need you father more today than yesterday.  We know we are nearing our breakthrough and we speak VICTORY over our situations.  In Jesus name, Amen

Where is your God?

I don't know what you may be going through right now, but God is right there. No matter how it looks, God is there.  The word of God says know, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Take a moment and reevaluate how you have been going through your storm. Can you picture the devil fleeing because of your actions? Or is he standing before you sarcastically asking, Where is your God now?
If you chose the latter then this epiphany is for you. The good news is there is an easy solution.  Joel 2:13 says  Render your hearts and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.  If you have been reading my prior blogs, you've probably begin to see a pattern, God wants you back.
If we commit ourselves to his word an honor Him, He will give us plenty. Joel 2:25 says “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm— my great army that I sent among you. What is your locust? A relationship, job, house... Like I shared with you Friday, you have to see yourself in God's word. God is saying He is going to repay you for the years that relationship ate up! He's going to repay you for the years that drug/alcohol addiction ate up! He even goes on to say in verse 26, You will have plenty to eat, until you are full,
and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed.
So let me get this straight Lord, you said first thing I need to do is come back. You are ready to forgive me and you won't punish me for running away. Not only are you going to forgive me but you are going to restore everything I lost. AAAAAAAANNNNNDDDDD, I will have so much I will be full! Jesus! Now that's my daddy right there I don't know about you.
God is waiting for you!!! He's been with you all along. The question isn't where is your God? The question is where are you?
Dear Lord, we are running back to you today. We thank you Lord that your word says you won't punish us as an earthly parent would for running away. Rather you will, grant us grace and mercy upon arrival. You said would shower is with love and give us more than enough.  We praise you in advance father for restoring everything we lost while out in the world. We pray Lord for strength to stay in line with your word. We thank you for waiting on us, and keeping us by grace while we were away. In Jesus, name...Amen

You will get it ALL back!

Family God is so awesome!  I have been praying about what I now know to be a word from God.  Anytime it's a word from God, in the natural it makes no sense.  That's why I struggled with it.  God will amaze you with the avenues He uses in which to reveal His purpose and give confirmation.  It was during a conversation with a friend that this Epiphany begin.

This morning during my prayer and meditation time, I came across 2 Kings 8:6 “Give back everything that belonged to her, including all the income from her land from the day she left the country until now.” I literally felt like God was talking about me!! It made my spirit leap!  I don't know what you all read, but, I read God saying to the devil, Give Naila back everything that belonged to her, with interestYou better start seeing yourself in God's word.  He is your father, so His promises are for you.

God gave me a word a few weeks ago, to walk away from everything and follow Him.  I wasn't sure it was Him until now. It was when I asked for confirmation, this scripture came to heart Psalms 37:25 I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.  They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be a blessing.   Again I don't know what you read  but, I read, If I told you to walk away, you will want for nothing and neither will Khalil.  I mean NOTHING!  Because you trust and obey me.  See if you are like me,  I let a few things go, but not everything.  God told me I want you to let everything go.  So I'm going to heed his word, because I would rather walk away than He send someone to take it away.  I'm serious.  By the time He's done with me I'm going to be walking on water like Peter! :-)  Remember what I'm telling you.

Seriously, God told me to simply trust Him! Luke 6:38 says Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” He said I'm going to give it all back and more!  Acts 3:19 says  Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.  Go to God and repent for your sins.  God is waiting arms open wide.  He is ready to restore EVERYTHING you have lost along the way, and then some.

In 2 Samuel 9:7 God shows us that favor on your life will fall on your children and grandchildren.  “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table.”   Even when I leave my earthly dwelling God will still be restoring me in the favor of my descendants.  Whew, my Father God is the TRUTH!!!!

So don't worry about the little things you have lost.  I know they may  have seemed HUGE to you, but they are nothing to God.  He wants to give you something 10x's better.  Remember God is watching to see how you go through this storm.  I know that God is speaking to some of you, and he is saying stop trying to hold on to that STUFF!!!!  If I gave it to you before, I can give it to you again, this time bigger and better.  God wants the glory from your situation.  He wants you to know that you were redeemed, restored, and revitalized by His hand and not your own.  God wants to use you as a vessel.  So USE ME LORD!!!!  As the song says, my storage is empty and I am available to you.  So fill me up Lord.  I'm ready, are you?

Dear Lord,
We come to you today empty.  Some of us think we have lost everything.  Some of us thought we were as low as we could be and then the worst of the worst happened.  We now realize Lord that we had to lose all of those things so that we would have room for the enormous blessings you have in store for us.  We now know that YOU at the end of this trial, will give us a GREAT REWARD!!!  We praise you in advance.  Your word says in Psalms 107 if we cry out to you Lord in trouble, you will deliver us from distress!  So here we are Lord with nothing, depending on you for everything.  We stand victorious knowing that we are the redeemed! Today Lord we stand on your promise in Psalms 107:2 Let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story,  those he redeemed from the hand of the foe.  Therefore we know, you will deliver us and we will live to tell the story.  In Jesus name,  Amen!

For the rest of the day, you should be singing that verse from the gospel song that says, And I rejoice today, for I shall recover it ALL!!!!

WAIT!!!!!

I keep hearing this word...God keeps saying to me wait! You have tried it a million times on your own and where has it gotten you?  So why can't you wait.  My reward and favor is permanent.  It's not temporary or short-lived like the successes you have experienced before.  Mine is permanent and well worth the wait.  So again, I say wait.

Listen family, I know you are tired.  Please hold on.  I'm telling you, in this season of my life I have been seeking  the heart of God more than I ever have in my entire life.  My flesh gets weak and I pray harder and every time I go to God and say Lord I can't take anymore He says wait.  James 5:11 says God blessed those who take their troubles quietly and keep on believing.  God is full of grace and mercy.  So hold on.  God has already promised us that trials and tests are only temporary.  In His word it says they are meant to teach us patience, endurance, and prepare us to handle the blessings waiting for us at the finish line.  So don't give up.  I see so many of my friends growing weary and wanting to throw up their hands.  Let me remind you, Psalms 77:7-12  says Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again?  Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time?  Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?”  Then I thought, “To this I will appeal:  the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand.  I will remember the deeds of the LORD;  yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.  I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” The person writing this Psalm is saying God, just when I was about to give up, just when I was about to given in, throw in the towel, give the devil place, I remembered.  I remembered how great you are, I remembered all the mess I was in before and how you delivered me.  You have never turned your back on me.  So I'm going to praise you now because I know, you are going to do it again.

In James 5:7-8 the word says See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.  You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.  God wants us to use this time to draw closer to Him.  Get in His word and consult God about the plan He has for your life.  I can guarantee it is nothing like the one you have mapped out.  No matter how simple or cut and dry it appears to you.  I can promise you it is millions of miles away from what He has mapped out.  I know some of us can look back over our lives and say I never thought I would end up here.  Remember, it is all part of the plan.

I know this may not have been the word you wanted to hear today, but I'm telling you, God has something great in store for you.  You have to be willing to show Him that you trust Him enough to wait.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you today with heavy hearts and minds filled with questions.  Questions that only you have the answers for God.  We know that you keep giving us the word wait, but Father we are weary.  Your word says,  they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength...they shall run and not get weary, walk and not faint.  God please renew a right spirit upon us today.  We hear you Lord and we are going to hold on.  We need you today Lord, the enemy is trying to step in and take place.  But we rebuke him in Jesus name because their is no place here for him or his foolishness.  Your word says to continually offer a sacrifice of praise to you God and openly profess your name.  So Lord we thank you for what you have already done and praise you for what you are about to do.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Family I encourage you that while you are waiting, encourage someone else today.  They may be going through something God has already helped you to overcome.  So be patient family we are all in this together.  Instead of asking God if He has forgotten you, remind God of how He has already delivered you in the past and you know He's going to do it again!

You said ask and I shall receive. Well Lord, I'm still waiting?!?!

Again, the Lord has checked your girl in the realest way :-)!  I wake up every morning and declare that today is my day of deliverance.  Today is my day of breakthrough.  Now we all know the flesh is weak.  So I say Lord how much longer am I going to have to speak over this thing before you step in and do your thing?  I hope you are ready for this because He gave me an answer, but it sure wasn't what I wanted to hear :-)!  So here it is.

2 James 4:3 you do not have, because you do not ask.  I'm thinking well I have that down to a science, because I'm calling His name all the time with a need or a want.  He said wait, keep reading.  2 James 4:3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.  People I could have been sold for free.  I said Lord!  You didn't have to do me like that.  Now, I have read this scripture before, and it has been given to me in context of a sermon/teaching during church, but I have never heard it the way I did this morning.  God is saying that house, car, job, designer clothes, jewelry, etc that you call on the name of Jesus to bless you with, it's to satisfy your own selfish spirit.  He wants us to eat the good of the land but, to the glory of Him.  Are you asking God to bless you with a job making more money so you can get a car like Mary?  Are you asking God to bless you with some Gucci shoes so you can make a coworker jealous?  Well guess what?  God says you know better and until you do better, the answer is NO!

In 2 James 4:6  God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble and oppressed.  We need to humble ourselves.  Stop walking around thinking because God blessed us to be able to complete our degrees, get great jobs, and make decent money that we are above someone who hasn't made it where we are yet.  One thing about God, if you don't praise Him or give Him credit for what He's done in your life, He can allow it to all be stripped away in the blink of an eye.

Now even though all of what was just said was deep, He wasn't done.  Check this out! 2 James  4:13-17 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.”  Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.  Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”  As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.  So then, if you know the good you ought to do and don’t do it, you sin.  Oh I heard you.  I will wait, you can read that scripture again.  I was like wow God!  Again today, He got me together.  Because I have been believing for some things to come to pass and I didn't think I was boasting only discussing.  God said to me, SHUT UP!  If there is something you want from me, pray about it and ask me what I think?  Stop looking for man's approval and look to me.  None of you know what is best for you because you have no idea what the future holds.  I am the only one with that information.  That endeavour that you thought you had all figured out down to last dotted i and crossed t.  Now you know why it flopped.  Now you know why it fell through. That job you took and thought it would solve all of your problems, now you know why you are miserable.  He said I'm going to tell you one more time Proverbs 3:6  in ALL your ways ACKNOWLEDGE ME and I will direct your path.  Not your mother, father, sister, brother, auntie, cousin, etc but JESUS will direct your path.  He placed some of those people mother, father, pastor, and some friends in your life to give advice, but only God knows His will for your life.

God even showed me a scripture in 2 Chronicles 31:20-21 This is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah, doing what was good and right and faithful before the LORD his God.  In everything that he undertook in the service of God’s temple and in obedience to the law and the commands, he sought his God and worked wholeheartedly. And so he prospered. He said if you truly turn that situation, that decision over to me, I will handle it.  God can do ANYTHING BUT FAIL!

Father God, we thank you for this awesome word today.  We vow that from this moment forward we will do nothing without consulting/praying to you.  Right now Lord we turn every decision in our lives that needs to be made over to you.  Every situation that needs a resolution, we turn it over to you.  We give you our family, jobs, cars, homes, our entire lives. Its yours we release them in the name of Jesus.  Your word says in Jeremiah 29:11  For YOU know the plans YOU have for us,plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. So right now in the name of Jesus we give you our past to cast in the see of forgetfulness, our present to guide us back to the pathway of righteousness, and our future to walk in favor and prosperity.  In Jesus name, we thank you and we praise you.  Amen!

Have an awesome day fam!

The Difference between Life and Death...My Tongue

I am starting something new. From this blog forward I will offer a prayer regarding the subject of the blog.  I am also soliciting any recommendations or suggestion you have that will help strenthen the message for the good of God's people. I would love to hear from you.

Some of you may think this word  is not for me but, most of us at one time or another have and will speak negative words against others.  Right? I was spiritually put in check this morning.  Yep, God put me in check! Forget epiphany he shut me down this morning.

The first scripture He revealed to me was, James 3:1 Those who deliver the word will be judged more harshly. I am not claiming to be a prophet, evangelist, or pastor but God is using me to share his word that he revealed to me. God let me know, that he is holding us to a higher standard.  That was the first check and  I felt  an *ouch*.

Next, James 3:4  take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. Wooooooow *in my flavor flav voice :-)* my tongue has that much power. When I think back, there are many times I  wish I had kept my big mouth shut...shaking my head. I know I'm not the only one who can reflect back on asituations and say if I had just kept my big my shut that wouldn't have gone down that way.  Then, there are times we have said, if I had only said what I was thinking not realizing it was the right thing to not speak. Second spiritual check.  This isn't for you either huh?   Please keep reading.

In James 3:13 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness.  If the first two checks  did not get your attention, this one should!(LOL) Let me put it this way, would you rinse your mouth with toilet water?  Fresh water and salt water can't come from the same spring.  So why are blessings and cursings coming from the same tongue. No need to go any further I think you've got where I am going with this. Third spiritual check.  Not enough, ok one more.

We are a work in progress.  God knows  that none of us are perfect.  He doesn't expect us to be perfect but, he does expect us to follow his word and work toward perfection.  This is why God looks at our hearts, our intentions and our motives.  Luke 6:45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. We need  to always think before we speak.  I remember as a child reciting  the following,"sticks and stones may break my bones but Words will never hurt me".  That is the biggest lie ever told.  We have all been in situations where people have said things to us or we have said things to people that we would like to take back.  It is hard to forgive words, because words come from the heart. Fourth spiritual check.

We as human beings will forgive hurtful actions, before we forgive hurtful words.  Proverbs 18:21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. This goes back to my post yesterday on sowing seeds.  Let us begin to sow positive seeds with our tongue.  Luke 6:28  Bless those who curse you, Pray for those who mistreat you.  Take this verse literally! I never said it was going to be easy.  Taking the high road is never easy.  I learned all of these things the hard way.  I was one who took things into my own hands and itresulted in me digging a bigger ditch for God to pull me out of and it took longer because I was so deep in it.

So let's pray and ask God to hold our tongues in situations where it could bring death (stir up confusion, trouble or cause tension) to a situation.  Instead let's find the positive point or area in the situation.  We may have to pull out our magnifying glass but believe me it's there :-).

I was listening to a pastor the other day.  He said God looks at your heart and the good in you.  For example, if you work all the time and don't get to spend much time with your family, you may say I'm not a good parent.  But God sees you as a dutiful provider.  Remembering in that circumstance, test and trials are temporary. Use your tongue to encourage yourself, as well.

So Let us Pray,
Lord thank you for every person reading this blog today.  Father, I thank you that we now realize what a powerful tool we possess in our tongue.  Thank you Lord for showing us just how much power our tongues have over the outcome of situations and circumstances that we face in life. We know Lord it starts with us but, Father help us to be mindful of the things that we speak into the atmosphere.  Lord cleanse our hearts of negative feelings and our minds of negative thoughts.  Give us a renewed mind and spirit Father, in you.  I pray every eye that reads this today will take the first step by finding the positive and not the negative in every situation he/she faces. Father, I ask that they reap the harvest of your blessings by being obedient to your word.  All of you and none of us Lord is our prayer to you today.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Speak life today family.  It will be well worth the reward.

Are you putting in work?

So I thought today's topic would be; I got rid of my leftovers, but just like God, He gave me a different word concerning my life.  So last night, I was thinking about all the things I want (material things and goals) I want to accomplish or acquire before leaving this Earth.  So I sat down with my son Khalil and I decided that we would make a list.  I explained to him this would be a continuous list of "Things we are standing on the promises of God and believing him for" (that's the name of the list, long title I know).  After making the list, I went back through my notes from church, bible study, and daily meditation and I listed and attached a number of scriptures that contained the promises of God (I have listed a few of them on the main page under a tab called the Promises of God).  I started this list after my Pastor issued a challenge to the congregation to attach a promise to your problem.  I tell you it changed the way I pray COMPLETELY!  So I thought surely if I can do that with my problems, I can apply that same principle to my DREAMS!  So  my son and I prayed over our list, reminded God of his promises, and went to bed.

Well, during my time of prayer and meditation this morning, I was reading James 2.  James 2:17 Faith by itself if not accompanied by actions, is dead.  Well there it is my Epiphany.  If I want to reap the harvest of God's blessings, I have got to accompany it with work.  Well I know that I can't just sit on the couch and say Lord I sure do want some Church's chicken.  All I really want is some Church's chicken.  I would give up my right arm right now for some Church's chicken.  OK you get the point.  But in all of that, if I don't get up and drive myself to Church's or at least ask someone to go for me.  Guess what?  No Church's chicken for me.  The same principle applies to life if you don't go out there and get it, then how do you suppose it will come to you?  Yes you do have to speak of things that aren't as though they were, but there is a little more that you have to do.

So with all that being said, you have to sow a seed.  I'm not necessarily speaking of money.  However, the principle of tithing is very important.  There are other seeds that you should sow as well.  The principles of seed time and harvest are very powerful.  You may be like me and aren't really sure how?  In reality, we sow seeds all the time and often reap the harvest without knowing it.  For example, we sow the seed of labor (going to work) and reap the harvest of our paycheck.  So I will share with you one of my goals.  My son and I listed we want the home of our dreams.  Not just any home but one we customize with all the bells and whistles.  We told God where we want it and what we wanted in it.  Well God spoke this morning to me during meditation and said you need to help someone else build the home of their dreams.  So Habitat for Humanity here I come!  See I believe God's word in Luke 16:10,“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, So I am believing that if I stand on that promise and sow positive seeds and contributing my time to blessing others to reach their dreams, I trust that God will send someone in my life to bless me with my dreams.  If you are believing God for a better job.  You may have been on your job for several years, and have become comfortable in the position.  You have learned all the loop holes and ins and outs for getting by and truly don't give a complete work day.  If you change that routine and begin sowing the seed of excellence in your work and the seed of going above and beyond.  You will be amazed at how God will move on your behalf.

Remember this scripture when sowing into the lives of others:  2 Corinthians 9:6 says:  Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  So if you are expecting a big move of God.  You better sow generous seeds :-)!

I do want to say this before I close, our list doesn't just contain big things, it contains small things too.  Like my son is asking God to bless him with new cleats for his baseball tournament next week.  You may say Naila, why not just buy the child the cleats.  Buying him cleats isn't the issue.  What we have to understand is, we serve a big God, but that doesn't mean only take to Him the big stuff.  Philippians 4:6 says:  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. There is nothing to big or small that he won't provide.  Even what we see as our biggest problems are trivial to Him.  So if we will raise our children to trust in a being so fictitious as Santa Claus for all their wants, why not raise them to believe in the true and LIVING God!

Happy Monday guys! Be blessed and above all be a blessing.

I don't want to be shaken or stirred!

So yesterday, I was feeling a little defeated by a situation. It was ABOUT TO get the best of me. This morning I woke up about 4 and my heart was so heavy. So I just started praying...I asked God to speak to my heart and show me the path I should take. Afterwards, I laid back down and went to sleep. Later I woke up to have my daily prayer and meditation time and my Epiphany came from Hebrews 12.
Hebrews 12: 7-11 states, Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate children at all. 9 Moreover, we have all had parents who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! 10 Our parents disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
There it was so simple and so plain. I know everyone has been told by their parents, I spank you because I love you. You didn't understand it until later in life. I also know that we see people sometimes and say they should have been spanked as a child. Well God is our father, and he has to discipline so that we are prepared for what life throws us. Sometimes we know we have done wrong and deserve to reap the consequences of our actions. Others times we have no idea why we are going through things. So I believe He was saying to me don't feel like I have forgotten you or l don't love you because I discipline you or you are struggling with something. You need to know the next time your are tempted by the devil and yes, there will be a next time how to handle it.

Hebrews 12:26-29 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”[e] 27 The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”

Going back to Wednesday's post about having a relationship with God. In Smoky Norful's song "I Need You Now", He sings a verse that says "Test and Trials come to make us strong". You need to be grounded in the word and have a relationship with Him so that you will have what you need to go through your storm and come out on the other side stronger. If you have a relationship with Him you won't quit and risk missing your blessing.

So if you are being shaken and stirred today, don't fret. He wants you to know he sends these test and trials because He loves you and as you grow in your faith and your walk with Him you will be stronger and in the end receive the greatest reward ETERNAL LIFE.

HAVE A GREAT FRIDAY AND AN AWESOME WEEKEND!
